Christmas is the most important season of the year. It is the birthday of Jesus Christ. Everyone is looking forward and excited to this annual celebration.

Whenever Christmas season is approaching everyone seems happy and excited. It is the season of giving, receiving and countless feasts. You can see christmas trees everywhere. Christmas lights sparkle and give light at night. As Christmas day gets near expect carolers anytime of the day everyday. Most of the time though carolers prefer serenading at night.

The time of the day when most of the people are at home. The cool Christmas breeze adds to the drama and thrill of the carolers. Everyone seems to be in their happiest moods during yuletide season. That makes Christmas memorable and the most awaited festivity of the year.

During this time of the year almost every family would save enough or much money to spend for gifts, lots of food for noche buena , decorations and shopping for the rest of the family. It has become a tradition that old things are being replaced with new ones. Some would donate their old belongings to the orphans or charities.

This is what usually happens during Christmas season but how about those who have limited budget. Those who can’t afford extravagant celebrations because they don’t have enough amount to buy expensive gifts for their family and spend for sumptuous and delectable foods for the usual noche buena.

I believe we can always celebrate Christmas even with limited amount of money. It’s not on the food that you put on the table or gifts you give your family and friends that matter but it’s the thought that counts. What is important is a complete and happy family during this precious time of the year. It’s the family that matters among anything else in the world. No amount of money can buy the joy and happiness brought by a complete and happy family. I believe it is the true essence of Christmas.

A family can still be happy during Christmas even with just a simple food on the table. Simple dishes like spaghetti and fried chicken are enough to show appreciation of Jesus Christ’s birthday. I’m sure from up above He will understand it. No need to be grandeous, just simple dishes to serve while everyone in the family shares meaningful stories and  good memories that happened within the year.

Give your children inexpensive gifts that can be useful to them like things they need in school or things that they can use to explore more on their artistic sides. I’m sure they will understand why you can’t give them costly presents as long as you explain them well the current financial situation. I wish everyone a happy and memorable Christmas.
