Dos
1. Since it is your first date, meeting in a public place such as restaurant or park is a good idea. You are safe and secured when there are other people around.
2. When you are conversing with him/her, make eye to eye contact as it increases your charm and make him/her feel you are interested in what you are talking about. Do- be well dressed, use perfumes, uphold proper etiquette and hygiene.
3. Be always polite. For guys, always be gentlemen. For girls, show self-respect and be classy and witty.
4. Make sure to tell about your date to a friend or family member. Leave your cell phone open always just in case you need to call someone for emergency.
5. Keep a positive attitude and talk with self-confidence. When you talk smart, you look sexier. When you are wrong, admit it. When you are corrected, accept it
6. Tell jokes occasionally but do not overdo laughing.
7. Open up topics that you think are entertaining to talk about. Probe so you know his/her interests.
Don’ts
8. Don’t assume or anticipate too much in your first date. Never think that you are going to make love on your first date. Don’t propose it.
9. Don’t reveal any of your secrets or your family’s. You may want to know hers but in a subtle way.
10. Don’t forget to bring with you your cell phone and some cash. For girls, don’t assume the guy will always treat you on a first date.
11. Don’t show disgust or disappointment even though you hate something about him or her.
12. Don’t drink heavy drinks or alcohol on a first date. Wines will be better.
13. Don’t go to a private place such as your place or to a motel. Remember you are still getting to know each other.
14. Don’t try to speak yourself and let your date speak and listen. Make sure to keep an intelligent conversation.
15. Don’t be late, be at the exact time. Don’t be too early.
